Chapter 3: The Boy with the Broken Toy

Chapter 3: The Boy with the Broken Toy

One year later.

The grand hall of Hawthorne Industries was filled with employees, investors, and journalists.

A giant portrait of Samuel Hawthorne hung above the stage.

Beside it stood Ethan.

Still wearing a superhero T-shirt.

Still carrying the same broken toy robot.

The crowd laughed gently.

Some wiped away tears.

The chairman invited Ethan to say a few words.

The boy stepped toward the microphone.

For a moment, he seemed nervous.

Then he looked at the robot in his hands.

The room became silent.

"My dad told the truth even after he was gone."

His voice was small.

But every person listened.

"He didn't leave me billions."

The audience looked confused.

Ethan smiled.

"He left me courage."

Many people began crying.

Mrs. Bennett stood in the front row, unable to hold back her tears.

Ethan continued.

"If you know the truth, don't be afraid to speak it. Even if you're small. Even if nobody believes you."

The hall erupted into applause.

A standing ovation.

Not for the inheritance.

Not for the company.

But for the little boy who refused to stay silent.

Later that evening, Ethan and his mother visited Samuel's grave.

The sunset painted the sky gold.

Ethan carefully placed the broken toy robot beside the headstone.

Then he whispered:

"We did it, Dad."

A gentle breeze moved through the trees.

For the first time, there were no secrets left.

No lies.

No fear.

Only truth.

And sometimes, the smallest voice in the room is the one that changes everything.
