Chapter 1: The Truth Behind the Camera

Chapter 1: The Truth Behind the Camera

Marcus didn't answer Isabella immediately.

His cold gray eyes moved from the shards of crystal scattered across the marble floor to his wife, who was curled around her swollen belly, struggling to breathe.

"Marcus..." Khloe whispered weakly.

Blood slowly stained the side of her white maternity dress.

Elaine Parker gasped.

"Oh my God... Call the emergency team!"

Isabella wiped away fake tears with trembling fingers.

"She lost control. She tried to attack me. I only pushed her away to protect myself."

Marcus never looked at Isabella.

Instead, he dropped to one knee beside Khloe.

His hands shook as he gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face.

"Stay with me."

Khloe winced.

"The baby..."

Those two words shattered whatever restraint Marcus had left.

He stood.

The room seemed colder.

"You touched my wife."

His voice was calm.

Too calm.

Isabella swallowed nervously.

"Marcus, listen to me—"

SLAP.

The sound echoed through the luxury suite.

Marcus had never struck anyone before.

Not even during hostile corporate takeovers.

But the force of the slap sent Isabella stumbling backward into the wall.

"You don't get to speak."

Security officers rushed toward the room just as another man entered.

Dr. Adrian Bennett.

Chief of Obstetrics.

More importantly...

Khloe's uncle.

The moment he saw his niece lying on the floor, every ounce of professionalism disappeared.

"Move!"

Doctors flooded into the suite.

As they carefully lifted Khloe onto a stretcher, Adrian looked directly at Marcus.

"If anything happens to my niece or that baby..."

His unfinished sentence carried more weight than any threat.

Marcus simply nodded.

"I'll make sure justice is served."

Outside the suite, one of the security officers quietly approached him.

"Mr. Thorne..."

"The hallway cameras recorded everything."

Marcus slowly turned.

"Every second?"

"Yes, sir."

May you like

Marcus's expression hardened.

"Then no one leaves this hospital."
