Chapter 1: The Evidence They Never Expected

Chapter 1: The Evidence They Never Expected
Alexander stood slowly, his eyes never leaving the bruises covering Sofia's arms.
His voice was calm.
Too calm.
"Elena," he said quietly, "take photographs. Every bruise. Every cut. Every tear in that dress."
I grabbed my phone without hesitation.
Within minutes, Sofia's injuries had been documented from every angle.
Alexander made another call.
"Richard."
A sleepy voice answered.
"Sir?"
"I need the best trauma physician in the city. At my house. Thirty minutes."
"Yes, sir."
He ended the call before dialing another number.
"Michael."
"Boss?"
"Wake our legal team. Nobody sleeps tonight."
By sunrise, Sofia had undergone a complete medical examination.
The doctor's report was devastating.
Forty-two separate injuries.
A fractured rib.
A mild concussion.
Bruising consistent with prolonged assault.
The physician looked at Alexander in disbelief.
"This wasn't a fight."
"This was torture."
Alexander simply nodded.
"I know."
But he wasn't finished.
He turned toward Sofia.
"Sweetheart..."
"I need you to tell me one more thing."
She hesitated.
"Did anyone record what happened?"
Her eyes widened.
"The hotel hallway..."
"There were security cameras."
Alexander exchanged a glance with Elena.
That was all he needed.
The hotel manager refused to release the footage.
"Company policy," he insisted.
Alexander placed a business card on the desk.
The manager glanced at it.
His face immediately lost all color.
"You own..."
Alexander interrupted.
"I own the company that owns this hotel."
The manager swallowed hard.
Five minutes later, they were sitting inside the security office.
The footage began playing.
There was Javier.
Standing outside the honeymoon suite.
His mother walked past him with four women.
No hesitation.
No surprise.
He stepped aside and let them enter.
Then came the audio.
Not perfect.
But clear enough.
Carmen laughed.
"After tonight, she'll sign everything."
Then Javier's voice.
"Just don't damage her face."
Silence filled the room.
The security chief slowly removed his glasses.
"I've worked here twenty-three years."
"I've never seen anything like this."
Alexander copied every second of the footage onto three encrypted drives.
One for the police.
One for his attorneys.
One for himself.
Then he made one final call.
"Freeze every business contract involving the Morales family."
Across the city...
Banks began receiving notices.

Investors started asking questions.
And Javier had absolutely no idea his world had already begun collapsing.
