Chapter 2: The Truth Vanessa Could Never Hide

Chapter 2: The Truth Vanessa Could Never Hide

Vanessa believed the trial would save her.

She hired expensive attorneys.

Claimed Logan had manipulated the staff.

Insisted Marina had brainwashed Noah.

Then the prosecution introduced one final piece of evidence.

A hidden audio recording.

Months earlier...

Vanessa had unknowingly been recorded threatening one of the housekeepers.

"If that boy ever tells his father what happens upstairs, you'll lose your job too."

The courtroom fell silent.

Then another recording played.

Vanessa laughing.

"Crying children are easier to control once they realize nobody is coming."

Even her own lawyers lowered their eyes.

When Noah was asked whether he wished to testify...

The judge immediately declined.

"No child should relive trauma for an adult's choices."

Instead, the videos spoke for him.

The verdict came quickly.

Guilty.

On every count.

As officers led Vanessa away, she screamed across the courtroom.

"This is your fault, Logan!"

He simply wrapped an arm around Noah.

For the first time...

The little boy didn't hide behind Marina.

He stood beside his father.

Small.

Fragile.

But no longer alone.

Outside the courthouse, reporters rushed forward.

Microphones filled the air.

Logan stopped only once.

"My son doesn't need revenge," he said quietly.

May you like

"He needs peace."

Then he walked away.
