Chapter 2: Every Camera Told the Truth

Chapter 2: Every Camera Told the Truth

One hour later.

The hospital's executive conference room was silent.

Large monitors covered one wall.

Marcus sat beside Adrian.

Elaine remained near the door.

Several senior board members watched without speaking.

Across the table sat Isabella.

Still pretending to be calm.

The first video appeared.

Hallway Camera.

Timestamp: 8:42 PM.

Khloe quietly entered the private suite carrying a bottle of water.

Less than two minutes later...

Isabella arrived.

She looked around carefully before slipping inside.

Another angle appeared.

Outside the suite.

There was no audio.

But everyone watched Isabella shouting.

Pointing.

Advancing.

Khloe retreating.

Then—

the suite door shook violently.

Seconds later Marcus arrived.

The recording stopped.

Silence filled the room.

Isabella crossed her arms.

"That proves nothing."

Adrian nodded.

"You're right."

He pressed another button.

The screen switched.

Elevator Camera.

Earlier that evening.

Isabella stood inside the elevator.

She wasn't alone.

Beside her...

stood Victor Hale—

Marcus's longtime financial advisor.

The room became still.

Victor leaned close enough for the hidden microphone near the elevator ceiling to capture every word.

Marcus listened.

"...after the baby is gone," Victor whispered,

"Marcus will never forgive her."

"You'll be the only one left."

Isabella smiled.

"And your shares?"

Victor laughed.

"We both get exactly what we want."

Marcus slowly looked toward the empty chair reserved for Victor.

He hadn't arrived.

Because security had already detained him downstairs.

The final recording appeared.

Parking Garage.

Victor and Isabella embraced.

Then kissed.

Not once.

Several times.

Marcus closed his eyes.

Months of manipulation...

jealousy...

false accusations...

every carefully crafted coincidence...

collapsed in seconds.

Isabella finally understood.

Someone had forgotten the garage cameras.

"No..."

she whispered.

"No... that's not—"

Marcus stood.

"I trusted you."

"You weren't trying to steal my marriage."

"You were helping someone steal my company."

Security officers entered.

This time...

they weren't there for Khloe.

They surrounded Isabella.

And escorted Victor in wearing handcuffs.

Neither of them spoke.

May you like

Because every lie...

had already confessed itself.
