Chapter 1: The Dress That Saved the Night

Chapter 1: The Dress That Saved the Night

The silence lasted only a heartbeat.

Then the cameras exploded into a frenzy.

Every guest stared as Maya knelt beside the celebrity's torn couture gown. The expensive fabric had ripped nearly from the waist to the hem after catching on the limousine door.

Regina forced a smile.

"We'll escort Ms. Hart inside immediately," she announced loudly. "No photographs."

But it was too late.

Dozens of phones had already captured the damage.

The actress, Isabella Hart, looked close to tears.

"This dress took eight months to make," she whispered. "If I change, I'll miss the charity presentation."

Regina's assistants scrambled in every direction.

No replacement.

No designer.

No solution.

Only Maya remained calm.

She quietly opened the side compartment of her cleaning cart.

Inside weren't only disinfectants and towels.

There were sewing needles.

Fine silk thread.

Tiny crystal beads.

Fabric tape.

Even miniature embroidery scissors.

Regina laughed.

"You think a janitor can repair a ten-thousand-dollar couture gown?"

Maya never answered.

She simply asked Isabella one question.

"May I?"

The actress nodded.

Within minutes Maya worked with astonishing precision.

Instead of hiding the tear, she redesigned it.

The damaged seam became an elegant diagonal drape accented with crystal embroidery.

The accidental rip transformed into a bold, asymmetrical statement.

When Maya stepped back...

The dress looked even more extraordinary than before.

The ballroom erupted into applause.

Fashion photographers rushed forward.

One whispered in disbelief,

May you like

"That actually looks better than the original."

Regina felt the blood drain from her face.
