The next morning, Marcus reviewed the footage from the home's security cameras.
What he saw made his blood run cold.
Three days earlier...
Maya had been struggling to carry groceries inside.
Brenda had walked right past her without offering help.
Rachel had actually laughed as Maya bent over, trying to pick up a bag that had split open across the driveway.
Another clip showed Lily crying with a fever while Brenda complained that the child's coughing interrupted her afternoon nap.

Maya had nearly fainted while washing dishes.
Instead of helping, Brenda simply said,
"Pregnancy isn't an illness. Women nowadays are just dramatic."
Marcus slammed his fist onto the desk.
