Daniel was staying in a run-down motel in Queens, his accounts frozen, his reputation in ashes.
When the heavy knock came at his door, he probably expected it to be Chloe, finally returning to him. Instead, he opened it to find two NYPD detectives holding a warrant for corporate fraud and grand larceny.
