Chapter 1: The Truth Buried for Twenty-Five Years

The bride was seconds away from walking down the aisle.

Then the church doors opened.

Again.

A woman dressed in white stepped inside, clutching a faded photograph against her chest.

The guests froze.

A wave of whispers swept through the room.

The bride's face twisted with anger.

"Is this some kind of joke?"

The woman never looked at her.

She walked straight toward the elderly man seated beside the altar.

Around her neck rested a single strand of pearls.

The old man frowned...

Then his eyes widened in horror.

He knew that necklace.

It had belonged to his wife.

It disappeared the same night his youngest daughter vanished—just weeks before she was supposed to give birth.

Without a word, the woman placed the photograph in his trembling hands.

His daughter.

Alive.

Tears streaming down her face.

Cradling a newborn wrapped in a lace blanket.

On the back of the photograph, only four words were written.

They told you lies.

The old man's cane slipped from his hand and crashed onto the marble floor.

Across the aisle, the groom's father turned ghostly pale.

The woman finally broke her silence.

"My mother spent her whole life waiting for this day."

She looked directly at him.

"She said her own brother sold the truth... to protect the inheritance."

The wedding music died.

The room fell into absolute silence.

She hadn't come to stop the wedding.

She had come to expose the family that built its fortune on a buried betrayal.
