"Dad... Seal the Exits." Minutes Later, No One Could Escape.

"Dad..."

"Seal every exit."

I spoke quietly into my phone, never raising my voice.

With my other hand, I brushed the blood from the corner of my lips.

The charity gala sparkled beneath towering crystal chandeliers.

Champagne glasses clinked.

Laughter drifted through the ballroom.

Billionaires, celebrities, and politicians mingled as though nothing had happened.

No one acknowledged the bruise darkening beneath my eye.

Or maybe they noticed...

And simply chose to ignore it.

The man who had shoved me into the marble wall only minutes earlier straightened his diamond cufflinks with a smug smile.

As if putting his hands on a woman meant absolutely nothing.

He walked toward me with complete confidence.

"So..."

"Still trying to call for backup?"

His friends burst into laughter.

A few guests glanced at my ripped sleeve...

My disheveled hair...

The blood on my mouth...

Then casually turned back to their conversations.

Not one person stepped in.

Not one dared stand against the heir of the city's most influential family.

Because they all believed the same thing.

I was on my own.

Defenseless.

Already beaten.

I lifted the phone back to my ear.

"Send in the security detail."

My voice remained perfectly steady.

"Place the entire estate under lockdown."

A brief pause.

Then came a calm reply.

"Yes, ma'am."

The line went dead.

The man laughed even harder.

"So that's your brilliant plan?"

"You seriously think anyone's coming to rescue you?"

More laughter rippled across the ballroom.

Several guests even lifted their champagne flutes, treating the moment like entertainment.

To them...

The outcome had already been decided.

They believed they were watching a helpless woman lose everything.

Slowly...

I slipped my phone back into my purse.

The fear disappeared from my face.

Only quiet confidence remained.

I raised my eyes.

Straight toward the security cameras overlooking the ballroom.

Then...

I smiled.

BOOM!

A thunderous metallic crash echoed through the building.

The orchestra stopped mid-performance.

Every conversation died in an instant.

Another earth-shaking impact followed.

Then another.

BANG!

BANG!

BANG!

Heavy reinforced steel barriers slammed over every doorway.

The ballroom shook.

Guests screamed.

Champagne glasses shattered across the marble floor.

"What the hell is happening?"

Chaos erupted.

People rushed toward the exits—

Only to watch the final steel barricade slam into place.

For the first time that evening...

The grin vanished from my attacker's face.

Every trace of confidence disappeared.

His hands started trembling.

I locked eyes with him.

He swallowed hard.

"W-What did you do?"

I stepped toward him, one slow step at a time.

"You made one very expensive mistake."

His voice shook.

"...What mistake?"

My smile turned even colder.

"You assumed those doors were built..."

"...to keep dangerous people from getting in."

The last locking mechanism engaged with a deafening clang.

The ballroom fell completely silent.

I stopped just inches away from him.

"No."

May you like

"They were built..."

"...to make sure men like you never walk back out."
