Chapter 2 – A Father's Judgment

Chapter 2 – A Father's Judgment
Seven minutes later—
The enormous entrance doors opened once more.
No announcement.
No fanfare.
Only silence.
An elderly man entered wearing an ordinary navy suit.
No bodyguards walked beside him.
He didn't need them.
Every executive...
Every senator...
Every billionaire...
Immediately stood.
Some even lowered their heads.
Chairman William Ashford.
The man whose donations had built half the city's hospitals.
Whose signature could rescue—or ruin—entire corporations overnight.
He ignored everyone.
His eyes searched only for me.
When he reached my side...
His expression softened.
He gently touched the bruise beneath my eye.
Then the blood on my lip.
His hand trembled.
"Who?"
Just one word.
Quiet.
Controlled.
But terrifying.
No one answered.
The billionaire who had attacked me finally forced out a laugh.
"There must be some misunderstanding."
"I barely touched her."
My father slowly turned.
For the first time...
His eyes met the young man.
"I asked one question."
His voice remained calm.
"Who touched my daughter?"
The room felt colder.
One woman pointed.
Another nodded.
Then another.
Within seconds...
Dozens of witnesses silently identified the same man.
His own friends stepped away from him.
One by one.
Leaving him completely alone.
His face turned pale.
"You can't destroy my family over one mistake."
My father looked almost disappointed.
"No."
"You destroyed your own family."
He nodded once toward the security chief.
"Begin."
Phones across the ballroom buzzed simultaneously.
Executives checked their screens.
Their expressions changed instantly.
One company stock—
Suspended.
Another—
Under investigation.
Banking partnerships—
Frozen.
Foundation memberships—
Revoked.
Charitable grants—
Canceled.
The young billionaire stared helplessly as his father's frantic calls filled his phone.

His empire wasn't collapsing because of revenge.
It was collapsing because every institution had just realized exactly what kind of man they had chosen to support.
