Harrison Cole closed the office door behind them.
For the first time in years, Khloe saw something in her brother's eyes that frightened her.
Not anger.
Not sadness.
Calculation.
"Harry..."
She wiped away the tears she had been holding back for hours.
"What happens now?"
Harrison placed the tablet on the desk.
"Now," he said calmly, "we stop playing defense."
Khloe looked confused.
"I don't understand."
"You spent six years protecting Richard's reputation. You stayed quiet because you loved him. You forgave him because you believed your marriage could survive."
He paused.
"But Richard mistook your kindness for weakness."
Harrison opened a folder.
Inside were copies of financial transfers, property records, company documents, and private communications.
"I already contacted my investigators."
Khloe stared at him.
"You knew?"
"I suspected something was wrong months ago."
Her eyes widened.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because I wanted proof."
Harrison's voice softened.
"You're my little sister. I wasn't going to walk into court with accusations. I was going to walk in with a weapon."
For the first time since discovering the affair, Khloe felt something other than pain.
Hope.
But neither of them knew Richard was already preparing his next move.
Three days later, Richard arrived at the Harrington estate with Vanessa Kensington beside him.
Khloe stood in the doorway, eight months pregnant, holding herself with quiet dignity.
Richard looked uncomfortable.
"Khloe, we need to talk."
"No."
The answer shocked him.
"No?"
She looked directly at Vanessa.
"You came here expecting me to cry. You expected me to beg. You expected me to make this easy for you."
Vanessa smiled coldly.
"Don't pretend you're powerful now. Richard already chose."
Khloe slowly placed a hand over her stomach.
"No, Vanessa."
Her voice was calm.
"He chose poorly."
Richard stepped forward.
"You're emotional because of the pregnancy."
Khloe almost laughed.
"That's the excuse you give yourself?"
Then she handed him an envelope.
"What is this?"
"Your future."
Richard opened it.
His expression changed instantly.
Divorce papers.
Temporary custody protection.
Asset preservation orders.
And a notice from Harrison Cole's legal office.
Richard's face turned pale.
"You involved him?"
Khloe looked at him.
"You forgot something important, Richard."
"What?"
"You married me."
A pause.
"But you were always afraid of my brother."
