CHAPTER 3: THE TRIAL THAT DESTROYED A KINGDOM

CHAPTER 3: THE TRIAL THAT DESTROYED A KINGDOM

Khloe survived.

The baby survived.

But the case against Richard and Vanessa became the biggest legal battle Pennsylvania had seen in years.

Harrison did not rush.

He waited.

Every document.

Every hidden account.

Every secret message.

Every lie.

He placed them on the courtroom table one by one.

Richard's attorneys tried to argue that Vanessa acted out of emotion.

That it was an accident.

That the shove was not intentional.

Then Harrison played the recording.

A private conversation Vanessa had months earlier.

"I just need Khloe gone. Once she's out of the way, everything belongs to us."

The courtroom went silent.

Vanessa's face collapsed.

Richard looked at her.

"You recorded that?"

Harrison stood.

"No."

He looked toward the witness stand.

"Your own friend did."

The prosecution presented evidence of financial fraud.

Illegal transfers.

Insurance manipulation.

Forgery.

Richard Harrington, once considered one of the most successful businessmen in the state, watched his empire disappear piece by piece.

During cross-examination, Harrison asked only one question.

"Mr. Harrington, when your wife was carrying your child, did you plan to leave her with nothing?"

Richard remained silent.

"Answer the question."

Finally, Richard whispered.

"Yes."

The courtroom erupted.

Harrison looked toward Khloe.

She sat quietly.

Not victorious.

Not happy.

Just free.

May you like

Because revenge was never what she wanted.

Justice was.
