She still believed her family's influence would save her.
"You have no idea who my father is," she snapped.
Nathan answered without emotion.
"I know exactly who he is."
"So do the police."
Detective Olivia Hayes entered carrying an evidence tablet.
"The assault was recorded from four synchronized camera angles."
She placed photographs onto the table.
Broken crystal.
Blood stains.
Khloe's injuries.
The medical report.
"You intentionally assaulted a woman seven months pregnant."
Isabella crossed her arms.
"She exaggerated."
Before Detective Hayes could answer, Marcus entered.
He laid a folder on the table.
"I've spent months wondering why my marriage suddenly became surrounded by rumors."
He opened the folder.
Private messages.
Fake anonymous emails.
Edited photographs.
Payments to bloggers.
Bank transfers.
Each trail led back to Isabella.
Marcus finally understood.
The attacks on his marriage had never been accidents.
They had been a campaign.
Every public embarrassment.
Every gossip article.
Every fake scandal.
She had orchestrated them all.
"You wanted my wife gone," Marcus said quietly.
"You wanted my family."
