Hours later, surgeons fought to stabilize Khloe.
Marcus refused to leave the operating room window.
Nathan finally emerged.
His surgical mask hung loosely around his neck.
Marcus stood instantly.
"My wife?"
Nathan smiled for the first time all night.
"She's alive."
Marcus nearly collapsed.
"And the baby?"
Nathan took a slow breath.
"There was internal bleeding."
"We controlled it."
"The baby's heartbeat never stopped."
Marcus covered his face.
Tears finally came.
For the first time that night...
The billionaire cried.
When Khloe awoke several hours later, Marcus was still holding her hand.
