The arrogant guest tried to recover his composure. He forced a laugh.
“So what? Even if she owns the building, this is just a misunderstanding between adults. I merely corrected a staff member.”
The words sounded weaker now. Smaller.
Chairwoman Lin tilted her head slightly. “Corrected?”
Her gaze shifted toward the shattered glass near the floor where the young waitress had fallen earlier.
A pause stretched.
The executive immediately intervened. “The security footage will be reviewed. All actions tonight are recorded under corporate compliance protocol.”
The arrogant guest’s partner grabbed his sleeve. “We should leave.”
But it was too late.
Two security officers stepped forward—not toward the chairwoman… but toward him.
