The Bracelet That Reunited a Lost Mother and Child

CHAPTER 1: THE BRACELET THAT SHOULD NOT EXIST

The mansion did not move for several seconds.

Even the air felt trapped.

The boy was still holding onto the maid’s legs, crying like he had finally found something he had lost for a lifetime. His small fingers clutched the fabric of her uniform as if letting go would make her disappear again.

The maid—Lina—stood frozen.

Her face had gone completely pale.

Her eyes kept dropping to the bracelet on the boy’s wrist. It was old, slightly faded, but unmistakable. A thin silver chain with a small cracked blue charm.

Her lips parted. No sound came out at first.

“That… can’t be,” she finally whispered.

The millionaire stepped closer, his voice sharp. “Explain yourself. Now.”

But Lina wasn’t looking at him.

She crouched slowly, hands trembling, until she was level with the boy.

“What’s your name?” she asked softly.

The boy sniffed. “Evan.”

Something broke in her expression.

Evan.

She repeated it silently, like she was tasting a memory she had buried for years.

“My son… was named Ethan,” she said.

The room tightened.

The millionaire frowned. “Your son?”

Lina raised her wrist slowly. Beneath the sleeve, faint scars marked old hospital tags.

“I gave birth to a boy five years ago,” she said. “He was taken from me the night I woke up after surgery. They told me he died.”

Her voice cracked.

“But I knew they were lying.”

The boy suddenly reached up and touched her face.

“You smell like my dream,” he said simply.

May you like

The chandelier light flickered.

And for the first time, the millionaire didn’t interrupt.
