Chapter 1

Chapter 2: The Truth Hidden in the Walls
Ethan broke open the crib's lock with his bare hands.
The moment Amelia stepped out, her legs gave way.
He caught her before she hit the floor.
She buried her face against his chest and sobbed.
"I tried to tell you."
The words stabbed deeper than any knife.
That night, Ethan ordered security to search every camera and every room in the mansion.
Hours later, the evidence appeared.
Video after video.
Margaret screaming at Amelia.
Taking away her phone.
Locking doors.
Forcing servants into silence.
Threatening anyone who spoke.
The worst footage showed Amelia begging to see her newborn daughter.
Margaret's cold response echoed through the screen.
"You don't deserve to be her mother."
Ethan felt sick.
His hands shook as he watched.
All this time, he had ignored Amelia's fear.
All this time, she had been suffering alone.
When Margaret entered his office later that night, she still showed no remorse.
"I did it for this family."
"No," Ethan said quietly.
"You did it for control."
For the first time in decades, Margaret had nothing left to say.

By sunrise, security escorted her out of the mansion.
And no one stopped them.
