Chapter 3 – Secrets Money Couldn't Buy
Vivian wasn't finished.
"You think you've won?" she snapped.
"My family has friends in Congress, Wall Street, and every major board in this city."
Emily looked at her without emotion.
"So does mine."
Before Vivian could respond, another voice echoed across the ballroom.
"Actually... more."
Everyone turned.
A tall man stepped through the doors.
Daniel Bennett.
Founder and CEO of Bennett Global Holdings.
One of the youngest billionaires in America.
Sophie's father.
The room erupted again.
Many of the executives present worked for companies owned, financed, or partnered with Daniel.
He walked directly to his daughter.
"You okay, Princess?"
Sophie nodded through her tears.
Daniel kissed her forehead before turning toward Vivian.
"I've spent twenty years building a reputation."
His voice remained calm.
"You managed to destroy yours in less than two minutes."
Vivian tried to recover.
"There must be some misunderstanding."
Daniel shook his head.
"There isn't."
He motioned toward the ceiling.
Hidden security cameras.
The ballroom's massive LED screens came alive.
Every guest watched the footage.
Vivian insulting a child.
Dragging her.
Calling her "street trash."
The evidence was undeniable.

Silence swept across the ballroom.
No lawyer could explain away what everyone had just seen.
