Margaret survived emergency surgery.
But she remained unconscious.
Without her testimony, the investigation stalled.
Vivian insisted Rosa had attacked Margaret.
Rosa repeated the truth over and over.
"I never touched her."
Nathaniel refused to fire Rosa immediately.
Not because he believed her...
But because Emily would not stop crying whenever Vivian came near.
That alone disturbed him.
Late that night, an elderly maintenance worker quietly approached Nathaniel.
"Sir..."
"I think there's something you should know."
He explained that the mansion's security cameras covered nearly every hallway.
Except the grand staircase.
Nathaniel's hope faded.
Then the man added,
"But Camera Twelve faces the upstairs gallery."
Nathaniel immediately ordered the footage reviewed.
The recording revealed only part of the staircase.
No direct view of the fall.
But it showed something unexpected.
Margaret walking with her cane.
Vivian following several feet behind.
Then both disappeared from view.
Two seconds later...
A violent shadow flashed across the marble floor below.
Then Vivian calmly walked into view.
She wasn't screaming.
She wasn't panicking.
She adjusted the sleeve of her designer dress.
Only after several more seconds did she begin shouting for help.
Nathaniel replayed the footage five times.
The timing made no sense.
