Chapter 2 – The Woman They Never Knew

Chapter 2 – The Woman They Never Knew
At Escalante Headquarters, Mariana stood inside the top-floor boardroom.
Every executive rose the moment she entered.
Her father smiled proudly.
"You've hidden your identity for four years."
Mariana nodded.
"I wanted Andrew to love me—not my family."
Alejandro sighed.
"He loved your sacrifices, not your heart."
The legal director placed dozens of files on the table.
"Mrs. Escalante, every asset transferred through your personal trusts has been recovered."
Luxury hotels.
Private aircraft.
Commercial buildings.
Investment portfolios.
Even the Whitmore mansion itself.
Andrew had never actually owned them.
He had merely managed assets financed through Mariana's family.
She signed the final document.
"Begin foreclosure."
Meanwhile, Andrew rushed from bank to bank.
Every answer was the same.
"We're sorry."
"We can no longer work with Whitmore Global."
Even his closest friends refused his calls.
Because no one wanted to stand against the Escalante family.
That afternoon, a moving company arrived at the mansion.
Margaret marched outside furiously.
"What are you doing?"
The supervisor calmly handed her legal papers.
"This property now belongs to Mrs. Mariana Escalante."
May you like
"You have six hours to vacate."
Margaret nearly fainted.
