Chapter 4: The Truth Broadcast Live

Someone in the crowd whispered,

"The livestream..."

Nearly two million people were already watching online.

News outlets began arriving within minutes.

Victoria's public relations team desperately tried to stop the cameras.

It was impossible.

The hotel's security director approached with a tablet.

"Ma'am..."

"You need to see this."

Security footage from eight years earlier appeared on the screen.

The timestamp matched the day Emily supposedly disappeared.

The video showed Victoria meeting privately with two attorneys.

Audio from a nearby hallway captured part of their conversation.

"If Emily signs these papers..."

"...the company becomes mine."

"If she refuses?"

"Make sure she never comes back."

The lobby erupted.

Victoria buried her face in her hands.

Years of carefully crafted reputation collapsed in less than five minutes.

Her empire had not been built through brilliance alone.

It had been protected by betrayal.

Emily looked at her sister with tears in her eyes.

"I kept hoping one day..."

"...you would tell the truth yourself."

Victoria finally whispered,

"I'm sorry."

Emily closed her eyes.

"Sorry doesn't return eight stolen years."
