Within an hour, forensic investigators filled the mansion.
Adrian personally requested that every surveillance device inside the estate be examined.
Margaret appeared calm.
"There are no cameras in the servants' hallway."
But one young technician frowned.
"There should be."
He removed a decorative wooden panel near the ceiling.
Behind it...
A hidden security camera.
Someone had disconnected it only two days earlier.
Fortunately, the recordings had already been uploaded automatically to cloud storage.
Everyone gathered in the living room as the footage played.
The screen showed Clara finishing her cleaning duties before returning to the servants' quarters.
Twenty minutes later...
Margaret's personal assistant, Vanessa, quietly entered Clara's room carrying a velvet jewelry box.
She opened Clara's dresser.
Placed the necklace inside.
Closed the drawer.
Walked away.
The room fell silent.
Margaret's face turned pale.
Vanessa immediately burst into tears.
"I... I only did what I was told!"
Margaret shouted.
"She's lying!"
But Adrian simply looked at the investigators.
"I believe the recording speaks clearly enough."
The officers immediately removed the handcuffs from Clara.
One officer quietly apologized.
"I'm sorry, ma'am."
The twins hugged their mother so tightly she nearly lost her balance.
