Chapter 5: Assembling the Arsenal
Monday morning, Liam walked into the sleek, glass-paneled offices of Harrison & Vance, the most aggressive litigation firm in the city. He wasn't going to wait for the Sterlings to strike first. He was sitting across from Marcus Vance, a sharp-eyed lawyer known for tearing corporate opponents to shreds.
"They're demanding two million dollars in damages," Marcus said, sliding a thick legal folder across his desk. "Emotional distress, breach of contract, and reimbursement for the entire wedding, which her father claims you sabotaged. They've also launched a quiet smear campaign with your investors."
Liam didn't flinch. "I don't care about the money, Marcus. I care about destroying her credibility so completely that she can never threaten my family again. I want the world to know exactly who she is."
Marcus leaned back, steepling his fingers. "Proving she locked a child on a balcony is tough. It's a he-said, she-said scenario, and right now, she has the PR machine making her look like a saint. Did anyone else see it?"
"The bridesmaids were there, but they’re her friends. They won't talk," Liam said, frustration bleeding into his voice. He ran a hand through his hair. "Wait. The country club. The Sterling family practically owns it, but it's a historical building. They had to install high-end security after the renovations last year."

Marcus's eyes lit up with predatory interest. "The upstairs hallway. They wouldn't put cameras in the suites, but the hallways and balconies?"
"Subpoena the footage," Liam said, his voice hardening. "Before her father thinks to have it erased."
