Chapter 11: The Intercept
The Onyx Depository was a fortress of steel and silence. Regina used her emergency retinal scan to bypass the outer doors, moving frantically into the cavernous underground hall lined with safe deposit boxes.
She reached Vault 77. She keyed in the twelve-digit passcode, her hands shaking so violently she had to restart twice. The heavy steel door hissed and swung open.
Inside the small, sterile room sat a single, titanium briefcase. Regina lunged for it, popping the latches. The physical documents were there. A lifeline.
"I wouldn't move, Ms. Blake."
Regina froze. The voice came from the doorway. She turned slowly to see Maya standing there. The young assistant was no longer trembling. She held a sleek, customized hacking terminal in one hand and a taser in the other. Behind her stood two heavily armed operatives from The Loom.

"How..." Regina breathed. "How did you find this place?"
"Your fixer, Vance," Maya smiled, a chilling mirror of Regina’s earlier arrogance. "He was very cooperative once we showed him the evidence of his own wet-work. He gave us the location."
