It took the jury less than forty-five minutes to reach a verdict.
We all stood as the foreperson read the decision.
"On the charge of filing a false police report, we find the defendant, Preston Vance... Guilty."
"On the charge of felony child endangerment, we find the defendant... Guilty."
"On the charge of aggravated battery of a child, we find the defendant... Guilty."
