Chapter 14 - The Doctor's Visit
The day for the final, comprehensive scan arrived.
This scan would determine if she was officially in remission.
The waiting room felt different this time; it was filled with anticipation rather than dread.
Sarah held David's hand, feeling confident yet incredibly nervous.
Dr. Evans called them into his office, a bright smile on his face.
He placed the scans on the light board.
"Look for yourself," he said, pointing to the clear images.
There were no dark spots, no signs of the tumor.
"You are cancer-free," Dr. Evans announced proudly.
The words hung in the air, sweet and miraculous.
Sarah gasped, covering her mouth as happy tears streamed down her face.
David lifted her into the air, spinning her around the small office.
They thanked the doctor profusely, their hearts overflowing with gratitude.
The battle was officially won.
