Chapter 19 - Going Home
They walked up the steps to their apartment.
David unlocked the door and pushed it open.
"Welcome home," he said softly, stepping aside for her.
The apartment looked exactly the same, yet entirely different.
It was filled with light, warmth, and the comforting smell of home.
Sarah walked into the living room, trailing her fingers over the furniture.
She felt a profound sense of gratitude for this familiar space.

David wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder.
"We made it," he whispered into her ear.
"We did," she agreed, leaning back into his embrace.
