Chapter 10: A New Era
Six months later, the grand mansion felt entirely different. The oppressive, cold atmosphere of the past had been swept away, replaced by a sense of genuine warmth and respect.
Emily stood in the grand foyer, the exact spot where her life had nearly shattered. She was no longer wearing a housekeeping uniform, nor was she a frightened girl clutching a stung cheek. She wore a sharp, tailored navy suit, holding a tablet as she directed the catering staff for the evening's charity gala.
She had transformed the estate's operations. The staff were paid fairly, given excellent healthcare, and treated with the dignity they deserved. Daniel had stepped back from the daily management, trusting Emily implicitly to run the household and the estate's charitable foundation.

But looking at the thriving, happy environment she had helped build, Emily knew one thing for certain: she had taken the worst moment of her life and used it to forge something beautiful.
