Chapter 13: The Cathedral Extraction

“Get your hands off my son!” Olivia shrieked like a banshee, scrambling out of her pew and wildly swinging her heavy, diamond-encrusted designer purse at one of the tactical guards.

Dominic’s own private security—three large men hired for the event—finally reacted, drawing their extendable batons and rushing down the aisle to defend their employer.

“Move! Now!” Leo barked, grabbing my shoulder and physically turning me toward the exit.

A brutal, close-quarters brawl erupted right in the center aisle of the holy cathedral. Sinclair security intercepted Dominic’s men with terrifying, professional, bone-crunching efficiency. Expensive suits tore, antique pews splintered under the weight of falling bodies, and high-society guests scrambled wildly for the exits, screaming as the fairytale wedding devolved into a bloody, bare-knuckle street fight.

I kept my hands wrapped tightly and protectively around Grace’s head, moving swiftly and calmly toward the heavy oak doors. Behind me, Dominic was pinned to the ground beneath a guard's knee, spitting blood onto the white carpet and screaming my name in absolute, powerless agony.
