"Victoria? What are you doing?" Arthur demanded, his gun wavering.
"I saw the file, Arthur," Victoria said, her voice like ice. "If she leaks that data, everything is gone. The jets, the houses, the accounts. Frozen."
"That's why I have to kill her!" Arthur yelled.
"No," Victoria corrected, her eyes shifting dangerously. "If you're dead, I am the grieving widow. I had no idea about your crimes. I keep my half of the empire. I survive. You take the fall."
Elara watched the arrogant wife with grim amusement. Even now, facing the truth of a massacre, Victoria only cared about her diamonds.
"You think she’s going to let you walk out of here alive?" Arthur scoffed, gesturing to Elara.
Elara slowly raised her Glock. The room dissolved into a deadly triangle. Three guns. Three desperate people.
