"You're a monster, Victoria," Arthur whispered, realizing his wife was truly prepared to blow his brains out to save her bank account.
"I'm a survivor, darling," Victoria sneered.

"This ends tonight," Elara said, her finger tightening on the trigger. Her heart pounded in her chest, the faces of her mother and father flashing through her mind. This was the moment she had trained for. The precipice of vengeance.
> GLOBAL BROADCAST: 97%...
"Nobody moves!" Arthur roared, pivoting his gun between Elara and Victoria.
"Goodbye, Arthur," Victoria whispered.
> GLOBAL BROADCAST: 99%...
The progress bar hung on the screen for a fraction of a second.
A single, deafening gunshot echoed through the server room, shattering the glass monitors. Blood splattered across the pristine white walls.
