Chapter 20 - The Masterpiece (Epilogue)Ten Years Later.

The Caldwell estate in Greenwich was buzzing with life. The front doors were thrown wide open to the warm summer breeze. The sound of a cello and a violin warming up echoed from the gardens, where a massive white tent had been erected for the Lily Grace Foundation's annual gala.
In the east parlor, Ethan Caldwell stood by the tall windows. He was forty-nine now, silver gracefully dusting his temples, adding to his distinguished, imposing presence. But his eyes were warm as he watched the scene before him.
Sitting at the grand piano was Lily. She was thirteen years old, poised, confident, and radiant. She was no longer pressing single keys to hear them "sing." She was playing Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat major, her fingers dancing across the ivory with breathtaking skill and emotion.
Sitting beside her on the bench, his feet barely touching the floor, was ten-year-old Leo. He was watching his older sister with rapt attention, occasionally reaching out to press a high note exactly when Lily nodded for him to do so, a perfect, silent communication between siblings.
"She plays better than my mother ever did," Ethan murmured.
Rosa stepped up beside him, slipping her arm through his. She wore a stunning emerald gown, the Caldwell sapphire resting against her collarbone. Ten years of marriage, of building an empire of philanthropy, of raising two fiercely loved children, had only made her more beautiful.
"She plays with her heart," Rosa replied, leaning her head on his shoulder. "Because her heart has never been broken."
Ethan turned his head, kissing the crown of her hair. "Thanks to you."
"Thanks to us," Rosa corrected softly.
The piece ended with a hauntingly beautiful chord. Leo clapped enthusiastically, and Lily laughed, ruffling her brother’s dark hair before closing the piano lid.
"Alright, monsters, go get dressed," Ethan called out, his authoritative voice laced with deep affection. "The guests arrive in an hour, and I expect you both to represent the family without causing an international incident."
"Leo started it!" Lily called back over her shoulder as they sprinted out of the parlor, laughing.
The room fell quiet again. Ethan turned to Rosa, wrapping both his arms around her waist and pulling her flush against his chest.
"Ten years," Ethan said quietly, looking deep into her dark eyes. "And every single time you walk into a room, my heart still stops."
"You're getting soft, Mr. Caldwell," Rosa teased, tracing the lapel of his tuxedo.
"Only for you, Mrs. Caldwell," he replied, his voice dropping to that magnetic, low rumble that still sent shivers down her spine. "Only ever for you."
Rosa looked around the parlor. She remembered the day she had rushed into this exact room, terrified, finding her daughter on the floor and the cold billionaire staring down at them. She had expected ruin. She had expected to be thrown out into the freezing world again.
Instead, she had found her sanctuary.
Ethan Caldwell had been a man forged in ice, a king in a frozen castle. But Rosa had brought the fire. Together, they had melted the walls, chased away the ghosts, and built a dynasty not just of wealth, but of unyielding, absolute love.
Ethan leaned down, capturing her lips in a kiss that held a decade of devotion and the promise of a lifetime more.

Outside, the music began to play, welcoming a night of celebration. But inside, holding his wife in the golden evening light, Ethan knew he already had everything he would ever need.
The billionaire's house was no longer freezing. It was, finally and forever, a home.
