In a sterile, high-floor conference room overlooking a rain-slicked Manhattan street, Victor Rossi sat in silence. Gone were the bespoke Italian suits, the slicked-back silver hair, and the towering arrogance that had once defined him. He wore a rumpled off-the-rack jacket, his shoulders slumped forward as he stared at the final liquidation documents spread across the mahogany table.
"Sign here, Mr. Rossi," the court-appointed trustee instructed flatly, sliding a pen across the paper. "This finalizes the transfer of your remaining commercial properties, including the Hudson Yards development, to Thorne Holdings."
Victor’s hand shook violently as he reached for the pen. He looked up at Gregory Vance—his former COO, who now sat across the table representing a new advisory group funded entirely by Marcus.
"You orchestrated this from the very beginning," Victor whispered, his voice cracking with a mixture of rage and utter despair. "Every bad loan, every regulatory audit... it was all him."
Gregory didn't blink. He closed his own leather folder with a soft, final snap. "You declared war on a billionaire who values his family above everything else, Victor. You raised a daughter who thought she could destroy an innocent woman without consequence. You didn't just lose a company; you lost your legacy."
