Chapter 3: The Interrogation

Down at the warehouse near the shipping docks, the air was thick with the scent of saltwater and rust. Mateo had Victoria strapped to a steel chair. Her ivory slacks were ruined, her polished veneer entirely shattered.

When Leo walked in, he didn't bring any weapons. He didn't need to. The sheer gravity of his presence made Victoria flinch.

"My father will destroy you," she wept, though her voice shook violently. The Kensington family ran the political machinery of the city, providing cover for Leo's illicit operations. It was a marriage of convenience in the making, now burned to the ground.

"Your father," Leo said quietly, leaning down so he was eye-level with her, "is going to receive pieces of you in the mail if you ever come within fifty miles of my daughter again. You didn't just lock a child in a room, Victoria. You tried to murder a Rossi."

He motioned to Mateo. "Get her on a private jet to London. Tell Arthur Kensington his daughter is banished. If she returns to American soil, the alliance is dead, and so is she."
