The flash drive contained hundreds of files.
Financial documents.
Audio recordings.
Photographs.
Emails.
And one video.
Daniel opened it.
The recording showed Eleanor meeting Richard years earlier.
Then Marcus.
Then Victoria.
The entire operation unfolded before their eyes.
Eleanor had orchestrated the financial fraud.
Richard had moved the money.
Marcus had intimidated witnesses.
Victoria had manipulated Amelia.
Daniel's father had discovered everything.
Elena had helped investigate.
Amelia's mother had helped too.
Eleanor had ordered them to stop.
When they refused, she arranged the accident.
The video revealed the truth.
Eleanor hadn't physically killed either woman.
But she had ordered the operation that caused their deaths.
Daniel watched in silence.
Amelia held his hand.

A recording from six months earlier.
Victoria was speaking.
“I can't do this anymore.”
Eleanor answered.
“You will.”
“I won't hurt Amelia.”
“You will.”
“She’s pregnant.”

Eleanor's voice became cold.
“If you refuse, your brother goes to prison.”
Daniel closed his eyes.
Victoria had been manipulated.
That didn't excuse what she had done.

Then the final recording played.
Eleanor was speaking to Richard.
“Daniel will eventually discover the money.”
Richard asked:
“What about the wife?”
Eleanor replied:
“Make him believe she betrayed him.”
Daniel stared at Amelia.
“They wanted me to leave you.”
Amelia nodded.
“And then?”
“They would take everything.”
Daniel looked at the screen.
For years, they had controlled people through fear.
But now their evidence was complete.
The police took copies.
The financial crimes division opened a massive investigation.
Eleanor was charged.
Richard confessed.
Marcus was confirmed to have been part of the operation before his death.
Victoria agreed to cooperate.
But Daniel knew justice would not erase the pain.
That night, he sat beside Amelia.
“I should have protected you sooner.”
She leaned against him.
“You're here now.”
He kissed her forehead.
