The Coast Guard vessel docked securely at the Miami harbor. Sarah thanked the crew and walked down the metal gangway. She was wearing borrowed clothes that were two sizes too big. Her first priority was to vanish completely off the radar. She walked into the busy city streets and blended into the crowd. She found a pawn shop and sold her expensive diamond engagement ring. The ring was a symbol of a lie but it paid for her immediate needs. She bought a cheap prepaid phone and a backpack full of supplies. She checked into a rundown motel under a fake name. The room was dirty but it offered the privacy she desperately needed. She sat on the edge of the bed and turned on the television. The news reported a missing billionaire bride from a luxury cruise. Mark and his father were spinning a tragic story for the media. They claimed she had suffered a mental breakdown and jumped. Sarah smiled coldly at the television screen in the dark room. They actually believed they had won the dangerous game.
