Chapter 12 - Gathering the Old Squad
Sarah knew she could not take down a syndicate entirely alone. She needed a team of people she could trust with her life. She picked up the prepaid phone and dialed a memorized number. The line rang three times before a gruff voice answered. She spoke a coded phrase they had used during their deployments. Jax replied immediately with a tone of serious concern. He had seen the fake news reports and knew something was wrong. She told him she was in Miami and needed immediate tactical support. Jax promised to gather their old unit and head south by morning. Sarah spent the night drawing a map of the syndicate assets. She remembered details Mark had stupidly bragged about in the past. His father owned a massive fortified estate outside of the city. The estate served as the central hub for their illegal operations. By dawn a black van pulled into the parking lot of the motel. Jax and two other Marines stepped out looking ready for war. Sarah walked out to meet them with a fire in her eyes.
